If You Want To Start Making Money On Google, You Can Try Advertising
If your business site is looking for more customers, good news! Google Submit offers a free new way to get your site up on the search engine result pages with record speed, shooting your website directly to the top of anyone’s search query instantly! Wow! How simple it is to get customers with Google!
Alright, that was sarcasm. Yes, Google Submit is free, but it’s not going to make your life perfect. It won’t shoot your website to the top – or anywhere near the top – of the search result pages, and if Google sets any records in the process, they’re not going to be for speed. Yes, you can try the program, but you’ll be better off if you don’t submit to Google.
If you want to start making money on Google, you can try advertising with them for a fee, but trying to get a whole new crop of customers for free isn’t going to get you too far. For one thing, Google is known to take a very long time in getting your website actually onto their search result pages. And once your site is on there, it’s nowhere to be seen – oh, it’s there alright, it’s just way down at the bottom, where nobody ever checks the results. Seriously, does anyone ever click “next” more than three times? I submit that it’s a very rare occurrence. And nobody’s going to click it four hundred times to find your little website.
The best way to get attention to your site from Google’s search engine is either to pay them for advertising, or improve your site enough that you don’t need it. The GoogleBot (Google’s web crawler) finds and ranks sites based on the number of links to those sites, so if you’ve got a good, useful site, you’ll probably be popular enough to attract their attention, anyway. And if your popularity improves, you’ll be higher in the lists, anyway.
