The Keyword Academy – More Keys To Abundance

The Keyword Academy is one of the best sites I have found in the last year, and it shamelessly plugs its credentials for offering the keys to abundance financially. I found the site in the aftermath of my aborted One Hundred Challenge on Triond, by veering back to Hubpages. Hubpages also runs a challenge to build 30 or even 100 hubs in a month, depending on how hard core you are. And they offer help and support on their forums to enable people to get through this rather labour-intensive and emotional challenge. What Hubpages doesn’t give any insight into however is what subjects to write about in your hubs; or how to structure them; or – most importantly – how to make money from them. It is a numbers game and the more hubs you have, the better the chances of finally getting your mitts on those keys to abundance. And keywords hold the keys!

So understandably, I was rather pleased to find a structured method for choosing which keywords are likely to be best for generating income. A method developed not by charlatans or gurus, but by guys who actually practise what they preach, and make a lot of money following the methods that they teach. Incidentally the method was developed after a few years of keyword and monetization experiments to figure out what works best. And I’ll add that this culture of experimentation is exactly what they nurture at the Keyword Academy. No two websites are exactly the same, so the visitor profiles will always be different, and that means there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” method of building all your future websites.

The other great thing about Court’s and Mark’s academy is that they are slap-in-the-facingly clear from the beginning that this ain’t a get rich quick scheme, that it is basically a business enterprise that you are setting up, that you will need to invest money upfront (like any other business), and that you probably won’t make any money in the first month (which I didn’t), or two months (but actually I did), or even the first six months (watch this space). But you have to keep building sites and keep on going. I like that because it keeps the competition down, and in such a ludicrously politically correct offline world, this method means the fittest, fastest and mentally strongest survive – the ones with the most stamina and patience.

So you might be wondering: what does this Keyword Academy method entail? They break it down into five simple pieces:

  • Pick the right keywords – with high enough potential and low competition
  • Build yourself a simple website using open-source software
  • Create your content – informative articles that are also search engine friendly
  • Promotion/marketing – get your site found and ranked high in search engines
  • Repeat the process and earn steady, low maintenance income

For me right now, using this method has allowed me to identify projects that I’m actively working on which amount to roughly $28K (£16.9K) per month in potential earnings. Am I there yet? No! Go back up and read the bit about this not being a get rich quick scheme. I’m not earning this yet, and might not get there, but I do know I’m working the correct keywords rather than trying to outrank for search terms that are worth 5 cents and are so competitive I’d never expect to get onto page one of the search engine rankings!

The Keyword Academy Pro

Okay, what’s the deal then? It ain’t free is it? Nope. It’s an academy that provides ongoing training in keyword research, website creation, content creation, promotion, site analysis and monetization. So there’s a lot there to get you started making money online, and Court and Mark are so confident in their academy that they offer it for just $1 for the first month. After that, you can figure it to be too much like hard work and walk away; or stay tuned in for $29 a month, or pay $33 and get access to monthly Webinar downloads (covering advanced moneymaking techniques and strategies) and the TKA Forums, which are full of helpful folk all making a lot of wealth through these and other methods. (Breaking News March 25, 2010 – with the addition of fantastic new tools such as NicheRefinery and PostRunner, the Keyword Academy membership price will be going up to $67 per month very soon. The $33 price will be held indefinitely for those already subscribed.)

*** Update 23/7/2010 – Keyword Academy Membership price slashed to $33. Effective immediately, Court and Mark have cut the monthly subscription price of the Academy in half, and it reverts back to its original price of $33, despite its ever-increasing toolset. The latest tool is the Project Management Spreadsheet, which we are promised will be superseded in September by a sleek new app. Can’t wait! ***

I’m so pleased I found The Keyword Academy this year – pity it took me so long to find it. If you’re serious about building some online income streams these are the guys who’ll show you the best way to get going. (By the way, the links on this page are affiliated, which means I get paid if you join – I’d suggest you do the same when you sign up, so you’ll rapidly be getting all these benefits for free!)

  1. Hi matey. A barred Bard! I like that! So nice of you to visit Bardiness. It brought me here and it’s a good read. I hope we don’t have to wait for the next Ashes test to get the conversation going again?
    All the best!
