Privacy policy
The privacy of visitors to this blog is important to me.
None of the data gathered on this site is used to identify visitors, nor will any personal data be sold on to third parties.
The data that is collected (anonymously) is contained in log files, as is common practice with most other websites. The log file includes such data as your IP address, your ISP, your browser, what time you visited and the pages on my blog that you read.
Google AdSense also uses cookies to store information such as (and in addition to above) geographical location and user preferences. This is to allow relevant ads to be placed on the site, based on geotargeting (eg ads for British financial products if you are a British visitor to the blog); or surfing preferences (eg cookery ads to visitors who frequently visit cookery sites). Again, this data is gathered anonymously and visitors are not identified using this information.
If you wish, you can disable cookies – either completely or selectively – by accessing your browser settings (Internet Options), or use a program such as Norton Internet Security to manage cookies. Many modern websites rely on the use of cookies for effective operation, and to provide an optimal experience to the user, and so disabling cookies may result in certain websites not working properly.
