Welcome
Welcome to LifeSiren – Keys to Abundance!
What’s this blog about?
It is about generating abundance and prosperity, both in our lives and our finances. It’s about running our lives differently. Have you ever woken up on a Monday morning and thought, “Oh no! Not this again!” Caught in the rat-race? Want a way out? Then this blog might be for you.
Life as we know it
The world we live in is full of shortcuts – things that map out our lives. We play and have fun (and exercise our right to uncontrolled bodily functions!) from birth to age 4. Then it’s on to education, schooling, exams to age 16. Finally it’s off to work in a job most of us never like, but are disinclined to change, finally gaining our freedom at retirement – age 65! Some of us take the intermediate step of university before work. Basically though, fun starts again at retirement.
That’s about 50 years of dull monotony and toil with all the fun squashed into times of life when:
- either we can’t walk or talk or do stuff without getting told off by the grown-ups;
- or we can’t hear or see properly anymore, and in any case would just prefer to sit with a crochet blanket on our laps watching endless reruns of Matlock
A giant leap for mankind
Well, it doesn’t need to be this way. We do it this way because that’s how we’re supposed to do it, right? This blog is about creating new streams of income – you can do it a little at a time, and let it build up. When it becomes successful, you then give yourself options to perhaps go part-time in the day job or quit altogether. And if you build your multiple streams of income correctly, they will just need ‘topping up’ every now and again; they will be passive, and you get the prime of your life back, to enjoy life, whether that means backpacking around the world, or simply enjoying watching your kids grow up!
So this blog will point you in directions you may never have considered – please DO consider them, and as entrepreneur Ian Sanders says in his book Leap!: “Go Plural!”
There really is nothing to lose, and a lifetime of enjoyment to be re-gained.
